Jeff and Lauren Lowe of Tiger King Park arrested for Driving Under the Influence

Lauren Lowe and Jeffrey Lowe were arrested for driving under the influence

Early this morning Jeff and Lauren Lowe of Tiger King Park, Thackerville, OK, were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI).

Jeff and Lauren are currently incarcerated at the Oklahoma County Detention Center. OKDC confirmed they will be released later today.

Tiger King Park employee Erik Cowie was also charged with DUI last month and failed to appear at the hearing. A judge issued a bench warrant for Cowie.

Jeff is due back in court June 9 and 11. The June 9 hearing is in Las Vegas and is in relation to a 2017 case that alleges he illegally used animals to profit off of. In that case, Jeff was ordered to stay out of trouble. His pending DUI charge appears to be a violation of that order.

The June 11 hearing is in the case brought by the Department of Justice (DOJ) against both Jeff and Lauren. The DOJ removed all of the endangered big cats from Tiger King Park last month and most of the remaining animals have disappeared. In that case, Jeff and Lauren are on the hook for up to $30,000 in fines in addition to $40,757.16 in damages.

Jeff and Lauren were made famous in the Netflix docuseries Tiger King. The pair is participating in the production of Tiger King 2, which does not have a scheduled release date.
