Whereabouts of tiger cub born at WI roadside zoo unknown

On May 8, 2021, an Animal Haven Zoo (AHZ), Weyauwega, WI, employee posted on Facebook that a tigress gave birth to a cub at the roadside zoo. Photo and video posted by the employee appeared to show that the cub was pulled from its mother to be hand raised.

One week later, visitors to AHZ said the tiger cub was nowhere to be found. The cub was not with its mother and it was not publicly visible on site. Zoo owners Jim and Dawn Hofferber were the only employees working during the two hour visit, which raises questions as to who was caring for the cub

There has been no further mention of the cub since the May 8 post. Roadside Zoo News has been unable to confirm whether the cub is still alive, whether it is still on site, or whether it has been sold.

UPDATE: Roadside Zoo News has now received confirmation that the tiger cub is still alive. For more information, visit: https://www.roadsidezoonews.org/post/tiger-cub-passed-around-at-local-elementary-and-high-school
